I came here when it first opened and as you expect they had a few servicing things to iron out. But since the opening the little kiosk cafe has certainly stepped up its game. Being the sibling of the Vogue Cafe, the expectation was set high.
One of the distinct differences between the cafes apart from size is that missing piece has an emphasis on coffee.
The kiosk offers both filter and cold drip varieties to make your mid-shop rest perkier than ever.
The menu is creative and has a good range of different options depending on what you feel like. However, the unique names totally throw you off when you're searching for a simple B&E roll.
Apart from that, their chips are awesome, shoe string, crispy and doused in chicken salt. Absolutely delicious.
It's nice to see the cafe have its own identity without having to draw on the vogue cafe much. Between the two, I probably would prefer missing piece. The coffees just too good.

This cafe was pretty average. There was a 5-10 minute wait for the table and about a 10 minute wait for the food which is not too bad. The food itself was extremely mediocre, nothing special about it and tasted like something you could probably make better yourself. Was not worth the money. The service was quite poor, I was practically kicked off my table because they had more customers. Would not go back there again and would not recommend.

My favorite is the sweet potato chips, coffee is awesome, nice place to have a break while your wife still shopping at MQ.

Ordered the scroll and an iced coffee. The scroll was $5 which for a pastry that tasted like it came from a can that they slapped some Nutella on was way overpriced.  The scroll was doughy in the middle and dry on the outside. Didn't have much flavor either. Was very disappointed.

The iced lattee was actually decent and at least I didn't waste $5 on it! It was $3.50 compared to their "iced coffee" which has ice cream and is $8!!!  Is it me or are prices here a bit crazy?!

I visited The Missing Piece twice while in the area and enjoyed it both times.

I particularly enjoyed the berry iced tea and the sliders.

Because Macquarie Mall is a loud place, the noise level is in keeping with that, but for a quick lunch while shopping, it is great.
